This year Christmas party will be held at Red Rock Brewery and Restaurant Fashion Place. It will be at 6pm. They will have an open menu along with an area for us to mingle. This year the gift exchange is $20.00 per gift. If you choose to participate please mark your gift with his or hers. If the gift work for either, you don’t need to mark it. The Christmas party is also a great time to pay your 2025 dues.

The meeting has been moved to Friday night November 8, 2024 at 5pm. The meeting will run form 5-7pm and is open to ALL club members to attend. The club will be providing pizza. Even if you can not make it to the meeting it’s self we would still love to hear your ideas for the coming year. If you have any ideas please email the to Jackson at wmjr1976@gmail.com by November 7th. So that we can share them at the meeting.

Again the meeting is open to all club members.

With the return of spooky season and pumpkin spice everything it mean that it is time for our annual Halloween party. Once again it will be held at the home of Jim and Hermione Klekas. Jim will be cooking his famous greek chicken and rice. Members should bring an side dish or dessert to share.

Again this year we will be wearing Halloween shirts or a silly hat.

Annual event at Kay Jennings’ house. This year we are having a luau. More details on this event will be in a future newsletter.

We have been asked to participate in the Legacy Retirement South Jordan Car Show. This is an annual event and it is the 25th year for this event. They have asked us to bring some of our Jags. They are specifically looking to have an XK-120 and an E-Type. This show is free and runs from 10 am to 2 pm. The address is 1617 W Temple Lane, South Jordan, UT. Even if you can’t bring a car you are more than welcome to attend the event.

We will be having a drive over Guardsman Pass and a BBQ at Tim and Beth Furner’s house in Midway. More details to come.

We will be meeting at the park and ride at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon at 10:00 am for a 10:30 am departure. We will arrive at the restaurant about 11:00 am for those who wish to drive up separately.

This event has long been a club favorite and we hope to see everyone there.

Richard W. Erickson Foundation Museum

We have made arrangements to go to this museum. It is supposed to be a great tour. The tour will take 2-1/2 to 3 hours. The price is $20.00 per person. We need to get a count by July 15, 2024, as to how many members will be attending so I can let them know. Please email Susan at suz.jennings@gmail.com since she is the one who is making the arrangements for this tour. I will be discussing times with the activities committee and will send out an email to give you more information on times for this event.

Again this year Henry Morrison has graciously agreed to host a Rally. This will be a sanctioned rally and hosted by the WMJR. Price is $20.00 per car. The registration will start at 8 am with the first car out at 9 am. Starting point is the Rotary Glen Park just east of Hogle Zoo. It will finish at a restaurant where we will have lunch and distribute awards. This event is a really fun event and I wold love to see a bunch of our members come out and participate.

Drive to the Mad Moose cafe in Eden, UT. We will meet in the Walmart Parking lot at 2705 E Parleys Way at 9 am and will depart at 9:30 am. This will be a great drive for our club and should be a lot of fun. I hope to see everyone there.

British Field Day at Liberty Park. The show is on June 15, 2024. Registration will begin at 8 am with the event starting at 9 am and running until 2 pm. this event is a fun event with lots of different British cars and motorcycles. Our club will have a designated area. Please let Jackson Jennings or Ken Borg know if you will be attending this event so they know how big of an area to mark off so we can all be together.

Our May event will be May 18, 2024. Hill Aerospace Museum just finished up construction of a third gallery. In doing so they have rearranged the layout of the museum and have some new aircraft on display, including an F-22 Raptor and a U-2 Spy Plane. For those in the Salt Lake Valley we will be meeting on the east side of the capital at 9am and deporting no later than 9:30am for the drive to the museum. The address for Hill Aerospace Museum is 7961 Cottonwood St. Bldg 1955, Hill AFB, UT 84056 (Exit 338 off I-15). The caravan from the capital will plan on meeting those member from up north at the museum at approximately 10:30am. After the museum we will be heading over to Little Taste of Britain for lunch. This event is one that we are excited for. We have tried for a long time to get in to this museum. They have agreed to open up for our club on a Saturday. The tour is at 10am. After the museum tour we will be going to The Other Place Restaurant .

Our 2024 opening social is being held at Jim’s Family Restaurant in Sandy. This will be an evening for you to come out and mingle with other members the club. You can also find out more information about the events we have planned for the year.
